Hello, my name is Ashley. I am a recent graduate from Oregon State University, with a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography minor. I have a lot of experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS. I enjoy layout/print design, digital design, photography, branding, and more. I am excited about exploring new opportunities and applying my skill set to the world! Design Philosophy
Throughout my life, I have always been interested in art and technology, which has led to my pursuit of graphic design and photography. In my view, the field of graphic design serves a unique purpose in the world, as it provides a means to address and solve real-world problems. This practical application of design, distinct from its more expressive artistic counterpart, is what distinguishes it in my eyes. My ultimate goal is to create aesthetically appealing yet purposeful work that contributes to the advancement of relevant and future-oriented topics, such as renewable energy, which will enable us to shift away from fossil fuel use. Combining my skills in design and photography, I am committed to leaving a positive impact on the world.
Design Experience
A majority of my experience thus far is through school, but I have had several opportunities to use my skills in real-world settings. For example, my summer internship with Vistage in 2021 allowed me to gain valuable insight while working on projects such as an Image Support Guide. The experience was further enhanced by the collaborative effort of fellow interns, as we worked together to update the employee website. Additionally, I have volunteered my services to Best Friends Animal Society, where I contributed to the creation of leadership graphics for personal use. With an unwavering commitment to continuous learning, I eagerly anticipate expanding my knowledge and honing my skills through further experience.
